Hi, my name is Emma and I am the founder of Photography Props and Drops, a store that specialises in high quality professional photographic backdrops, handmade props and exclusive digital templates and overlays.
I am also the co-owner of BANPAS (Baby and Newborn Photography Association).
I spent a number of years behind the camera as the owner of Oscar and Rose Photography, specialising in child portrait photography with a penchant for themed sessions.
When I wasn't shooting, I spent my time trawling car boot sales, charity and antique shops and fairs to find items that I felt would really enhance my shoots, giving them a unique appearance and my photography a distinctive style.
Unfortunately, due to a chronic health condition, I had to give up shooting in a professional capacity, but with such a wealth of first-hand knowledge regarding the world of photography and a creative streak (before photography I had a sewing business!) it felt like a natural progression to move on to Photography Props and Drops.
The props side of the business is where my creativity really comes in to play. I am able to use my knowledge of photography and my existing sewing experience to create beautiful, one-off pieces for photographers to invest in for their shoots. Fabric and embellishments are carefully sourced by me personally to produce high quality garments that are unlike anything else available. Another benefit of having been a child portrait photographer, and also being involved in BANPAS, is that I am able to offer props that are made with the photographer in mind. Items are specifically designed to be easy to slip on and off, photograph well, are easy to care for, long lasting and importantly, unique.
I have high expectations of my work, and it pays off when I see the beautiful pictures sent to me by customers putting my products to use. I have an online gallery that can be viewed here that illustrates products in use.
I am proud to work with some of the very best photographers in the UK, inspiring and assisting with their styling needs.

Emma and I have been friends ever since she photographed my wedding.
I have a background in retail customer service and spend time at home looking after my two young children.
I love seeing all the beautiful images we get sent by photographers of our props in use and look forward to being able to help in any way I can
